What is pluridisciplinarity ? / Why pluridisciplinarity ? /- How to promote pluridisciplinarity?

  • Emphasize the complexity of liver cancer and the need for a collaborative effort involving various medical specialties to provide comprehensive and effective care.

  • Discuss how these meetings facilitate consensus-based decision-making, enable the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and ensure that patients benefit from the collective wisdom of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Discuss how a pluridisciplinary approach allows for a holistic evaluation of each patient's condition, enabling the selection of the most appropriate treatment combination tailored to their specific needs.
  • Stress the need to involve patients in treatment decisions, provide them with comprehensive information about their condition and available treatment options, and consider their preferences and values when designing individualized care plans.
